| In 2009, NIADA artist Heather Maciak and her husband moved to Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada, where they bought a beautiful piece of land with a wreck of a house on it. They have spent the past two years tearing it apart and rebuilding it. Heather's studio is finally back together, complete with an inspiring view of grassy meadows strewn with daisies and a stand of old-growth forest, beyond which is the ocean. Heather has just returned to her island paradise from the NIADA Conference in Denver, Colorado, and she is looking forward to creating new little children in porcelain.
